We specialize in General Foot Care and have extensive experience in Lower Limb Therapeutic devices such as Custom Orthotics, Medical Grade Footwear, and Ankle Foot Orthotics (AFOs).

Under the NDIS we are accredited and registered to provide the following services:

ProPodiatry Clinic can offer the following treatments (devices) and services to NDIS patients:

Services

General Nail & Skin Care – Treatment and management of general foot conditions such as corn, callus and warts.

Surgical Intervention –Ingrown toenail management

Diabetic Foot Screening – Neurovascular assessments and chronic wound management/prevention.

Gait and Biomechanical Assessment - Assessment of joints, muscles and ligaments of the lower limb.

Devices

Custom-Made Orthotics - Prescription, Manufacturing, and Fitting of orthotics specific to the patient’s foot to assist with foot deformities, abnormal gait patterns, and biomechanical abnormalities.

Ankle Foot Orthotics (AFO) – To treat neurological foot related conditions and management of foot drop and muscle weakness.

Medical Grade Footwear – Special supportive shoes.

Accessing Podiatry Services under an NDIS Plan

If there is a clinical need and your NDIS plan allows for therapy supports for daily living, you should be able to access podiatry services at ProPodiatry Clinic.

Therapeutic devices can be accessed under the assistive technology category.

An initial appointment will be required in order for us to assess your clinical needs and determine the best device to supply. Please note, devices will require NDIS prior approval.

What you need to know?

To access podiatry services under the NDIS, you will need to bring the following to your appointment:

  • Your contact details

  • NDIS number

  • NDIS plan and start date

It’s also recommended that you bring:

  • A list of medications that you may be taking

  • Results of any tests that you may have undergone such as x-rays, ultrasounds, etc.
